A BMC in Tejakula: A model of sustainable shrimp breeding in Indonesia

With a view to expanding our global presence, one of our multiplication activities is operating in the center of Indonesia.

Our Broodstock Multiplication Center based in Tejakula is located in the province of Bali in Indonesia and is a model of excellence for shrimp farming. This center strives to produce quality shrimp broodstock by applying advanced water management and biosecurity techniques, guaranteeing sustainability and profitability.

Our desire to consolidate a sustainable shrimp breeding model is based on the various areas of expertise that compose our company: the operators who work closely with our products, the controllers, the laboratory staff, but also the administrative staff. In order to make this achievement possible, we also adopt different approaches:

  • A sustainable water management approach: Our BMC carries out regular water quality tests to ensure that the shrimp live in an optimal environment.
  • A biosecurity approach: One of the center’s pillars is disease prevention through strict quarantine and cleaning protocols. This process begins as soon as the broodstock arrive and continues throughout their life cycle.
  • Health checks on the shrimps: Thanks to the sanitation of the tanks and equipment, and in particular the management of surfaces to avoid any cross-contamination.
  • Regular checks on our products: Our team of laboratory personnel carries out regular microbiological, mineral and sperm monitoring to select the best performing shrimps.
  • Unrivalled administrative efficiency: Our administrative team works hard every day to ensure the efficient management of the arrival and shipment of our products, guaranteeing our customers the delivery of the best products as quickly as possible and in the best possible conditions.
