Celebrating the 79th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day at PT Kona Bay Indonesia
Tejakula, Bali – August 2024: PT Kona Bay Indonesia kicked off the Celebration of the 97th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic Indonesia with a series of fun and engaging activities starting on August 13, 2024. The event was designed to foster camaraderie and team spirit among employees, featuring a variety of individual and group races.
Fun-Filled Races and Activities
The festivities began with a lineup of entertaining races that had everyone laughing and cheering. The individual races included:
- Plastic Straw Race: Participants raced to carry a plastic straw by clamp it between their upper lip and nose to the finish line and placing it inside a bottle.
- Marble on Spoon Race: Competitors balanced a marble on a spoon held in their mouths while clamping balloon between their legs, trying to reach the end without dropping it.
- Biscuit Eating Race: Competitor had to move a biscuit from their forehead to their mouth without using their hand. The goal is to grab the biscuit with their mouth and eat it.
- Hat Hanging Race: Participant had to use the hook on top of their plastic hat to hang it on a designated wire loop. The challenge is to do this as quickly and accurately as possible with limited visibility.
The group races were equally thrilling, with teams working together to complete:
- Sarong & Plastic Glass Relay: Teams had to pass a sarong and a plastic jar using balloon without dropping it.
- Water Bag Relay: Participants passed a water-filled bag over their heads to their teammates, trying not to the break the bag before reaching the finish line.
- Flour on Card Relay: Teams passed flour using card down the line, aiming to transfer as much flour as possible to the target bowl.
The day concluded with an exciting 3-on-3 basketball game, showcasing the athletic prowess and teamwork of the employees.
The Grand Finale: Independence Day Ceremony
The peak of the celebrations was on August 17, 2024, marked by a solemn and respectful Independence Day ceremony. The event was led by the General Manager of PT Kona Bay Indonesia and attended by all KBI employees. The ceremony included the raising of the Indonesian flag, singing of the national anthem, and speeches reflecting on the significance of the day.
The celebrations at PT Kona Bay Indonesia not only honored the nation’s independence but also strengthened the bonds among employees, making it a memorable and meaningful event for all involved.
